The Montreal Greek Film Festival (MGFF) was founded as a platform for Greek film directors, producers, screen writers and actors to showcase their work in Montreal. Over the years, the Greek community as well as the cinephile community at large developed an interest in Greek
foreign films, and this festival has rapidly grown in popularity.

Our film festival provides a platform for Greek talent to share their unique perspectives and creative visions. Many of the films we present have drawn the attention of audiences worldwide and have won major awards at international film festivals.

Diverse Lineup
Our carefully curated lineup includes films of various genres—drama, thriller, comedy, action, and documentary. Each film offers a glimpse into the heart and soul of Greece, its people, and its stories.
Movie Magic for Everyone
To accommodate our expanding base of moviegoers, we screen our films at multiple locations, and multiple days/times.
MGFF 2024 will open on October 6 th and will run through October 20th.
Both the Opening and Closing Night Receptions & Films will be held at the landmark Rialto Theatre, 5723 avenue du Parc . Two feature length films are showcased each evening at various Cineplex theatres, and all movies will be subtitled in English. A series of matinée screenings will also be added to the program for our movie fans that prefer to join us in the afternoon.
